The actual service (when it is working)
is excellent. The customer service is friendly, but
they will not acknowledge their own errors. If your
site is offline for days, they will not apologise or
credit you. In my experience, they routinely make
billing errors, bill more than once for the same
service, send emails threatening to delete your files
and give your domain away (to SedoParking, who will
extort you to get it back) even when the bills have
been paid in advance.

the single website of the whole uni is not an easy job,

web hosting companies can be exhausting and seemling
endless as there are web hosting companies to fix what
web hosting companies on the internet. You are right
by doing your home work as not all web hosting services
are built the same. In fact, you will most likely come
across a web hosting company that is just plain bad.
Then again sometimes you will come across a web hosting
company that is just plain good too! That is what
happened to me when I found VodaHost web
hosting.
When you first begin your quest for a
good web hosting company, they will all look the same
so I would like to give you a “cheat sheet” on how
to quickly and efficiently tell one web hosting company
from the next. Below is a list of attributes that I
wanted from my web hosting company and under each
attribute is how I researched the company to find out
if they could fill the bill.
1.) Web hosting
reliability & Uptime: I listed this attribute first
because it can be the hardest to determine. You can’t
just call the web hosting company and ask if they have
solid uptime. They will all tell you that their uptime
and reliability is outstanding. What you need is
current customers to tell you about their experience

several different landing pages on one account. This

customer service is to give them a call with some pre
thought out questions and see how they do in answering

this same test and they passed with flying colors.

really proud of my website. Most of the hit's I get
are probably from me visiting the site myself! I
decided to create my website about a year ago and I
signed-up with VodaHost because I liked the look and
feel of their site and the features advertised with the
web hosting cost. I had the usual problems to begin
with (i.e. it didn't work!!) but after a few
back-and-forths over the email with the VodaHost
support team and everything was in place and online.
They are very reliable and friendly ... They know what
they're talking about too (even if, on occasion, I
didn't.) Since then I have added many features in
the VodaHost control panel and learned a lot more than
when I started. The infrastructure for learning about
web hosting is all there. There is a wicked set of
video tutorials which covers almost everything and a
knowledge base. There is even a community forum so that
we VodaHost users can share our opinions and advice.
It's all there for me and when I put my second
website up online I will definitely be using a VodaHost

| | It’s really been plain sailing with VodaHost. I own
an online business and have always wanted to make my
own website for it. I know a few web designers but I
like doing things myself cos I like to learn new stuff
and save a little money. The trawl through the web
hosting companies of the internet is really confusing
because there are loads of them.
I found the
BlueVoda builder first and that linked me to VodaHost,
the parent web hosting company. I liked the webpage and
I liked the price (I figure that a really, REALLY, low
price like some I’ve seen for other web hosting
companies is indicative of something-or-other) and I
liked what VodaHost had to offer. The free domain
suited me albeit for 1 year. I signed-up.
I did get
in a muddle once or twice at the beginning with first
putting up my site and again because the of the
difference between web hosting account and domain was
alien to me but I put in a support ticket and really
quickly got a reply. Probably prewritten but it had the
steps I needed to figure out where things were and how
they’re linked together.
I haven’t really had
any big web hosting problems with VodaHost. Haven’t
had the need to transfer anything and there is a pretty
big knowledge-base and tutorials and videos on their
website which makes it really easy to learn about the
VodaHost control panel for the sight. A visual aid
makes it really easy to remember where the tools are
hiding!
